Life is sometimes confusing, frustrating and complex. All of which I feel like I am experiencing right now. The journey that many parts of my life are moving and changing mostly in ways that I am not orchestrating. Initially this drives me crazy because, I am a big picture person who cares about the details; however, with some things I have come to the conclusion that my best options are to pray, try my best and leave room for God. No temper tantrum or stopping progress but to keep stepping forward through the uncomfortable season knowing that the next stair will be there…I just have to be brave enough to keep moving.
Enjoy the journey, good job for trying and for being brave!
"A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost." — Marion Garretty
As I think of my sisters this quote made me smile. Growing up with these ladies Vanessa (to my left) and Valerie (to my left) was and is a delight and a joy.
The picture in white is a Throwback from the time that my sisters treated me to a birthday trip to Miami. Such sweet time, plane drama, airport breakdown, warm tropical rain showers, laughing until we cried, yummy food, all white party…hey the rest stays in Florida!
Do you have sisters? How about a little ‘show and tell’?
You don’t love someone for their looks, or their clothes, or for their fancy car, but because they sing a song only you can hear. —Anonymous
Today is my 15th Wedding Anniversary and this quote brought me to tears because this is how I feel about my husband. Even though he is fine and dresses very well, our relationship has a language and communication all its own.
We met at an all-campus gathering for our church and the first conversation that we had once we started dating was about the purity that we would uphold in our dating. Having both been in a myriad of bad relationships, we mutually agreed that holding hands was the most intimate that we would get.
Our first kiss was on our wedding day 8/16/2003 and we haven't stopped.
Our marriage has been tested in many ways and we have experienced life, death, heartbreak, exuberance, joy, disappointment and success. Through it all we strive to communicate continuously, pray daily, remember each others love languages, laugh loud and seal it all with a kiss!
He is my best friend, my protector, my spiritual leader, my lover, my Boo!
Here's to 115 more years!
A Time for Everything
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace. Ecc 3:1-8
Take time to enjoy every season of life.

Today is my 14th Wedding anniversary and I am a big fan of true, healthy, love relationships!
Be gentle with your words, be tender with someone else's heart, be humble and willing to accept the truth.
