A Time for Everything

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.                  Ecc 3:1-8

Take time to enjoy every season of life.

Deborah Cox plays Rachel Marron in "Bodyguard the Musical"

Hello everyone,

For Mother's Day this year, my sister and I treated my mom to dinner and The Bodyguard Musical at the Pantages Theater.  Deborah Cox stars as Rachel Marron (initially played by Whitney Houston) and is cast perfectly.  She looks stunning, sings like a bird and has great onstage chemistry with all of the actors especially Judson Mills (Bodyguard Frank Farmer) and Jasmin Richardson (Nicki Marron).  The plot of the musical is different from the film in that it weaves the works of Whitney Houston in tribute fashion throughout the story.  The stage set is simple yet well done, the costumes were excellent and the use of video creates a unique element of suspense and drama throughout.

As a performer, vocalist and theater major, I appreciate the body of work that Ms. Cox has delivered and applaud her diversity.  Here is a video of her sharing a few thoughts about the musical and her decisions to take this role.

Should "The Bodyguard" come to your city, I highly recommend that you see it.
