Career and Passion come together.jpg

Hello Everyone,

Over the past few days I have really been thinking about this and feel very fortunate that my 9 - 5 rather 8-6 has strong components of community service, philanthropy and meeting the needs of others.  Recently at a Scholarship awards, I had the honor to perform with Harvey Estrada and his Ensemble from Compton College.

What about you???...Are you doing what you love?  If not, take time to consider how you can coordinate your passion and your career.

How are you combining your career with your passion?

Ciao,

Drummer Extraordinaire James Gadson is Playing on My Upcoming Album

Hello everyone,

Recently, I had the opportunity to record with drummer, producer, singer, and songwriter James Gadson. Born in Kansas City Missouri in 1939, Mr. Gadson, is one of Rolling Stone Magazine's Top 100 drummers of all time and has blessed over 300 gold recordings from myriad of artists such as Bill Withers, the Jackson 5, Quincy Jones, Rolls Royce, Marvin Gaye, Herbie Hancock, D'Angelo and Norah Jones.

To work with him is to be in the company of R&B and Funk royalty.

As an emerging artist, it was fantastic to listen to Mr. Gadson share about how he "happened" into drumming, his passion for singing, love for his family, and laugh as he reminisced with Mike Nash (Rose Royce) and Leanard Jackson (Lakeside) about how it was to work in sessions with the many artists who are now music legends.

I am honored to have worked with such a kind, humble, and hardworking gentleman and I can't wait to share the fruits of our labor.

Ciao!
